My husband and another co-worker walked into a office on their job(they work in the middle east) and smelled what appear to be "weed".The (3) people in chain of command were acting strange and rushing them to leave,not to mention they had red eyes.My husband and the other guy,out of concern addressed the issue with another higher up.After a week or so the people were tested,but they came out negative.Everyone was placed at new camps after the event.My question is,can someone get into trouble for filing a complaint but the results came out the opposite?

Sure........if its a person in authority..........they can be fired.......

It depends if the complaint was done out of malice. If it was then yes. This is not consider whistle blowing its consider snitching. Whistle blowing is when a company is doing something unethical like ENRON. This was just smoking dope in a drug free environment.
