It depends, on an average an Defense Attorney that's won a few cases will make more than the DA, a DA of a major county makes about $175000 per year and a great retirement program. |

The lawyers working for the DA (assuming you mean District Attorney) are on a fixed salary, which is set by the legislature, which will review and increase it only when they can't get anyone to work for that amount.
Defense Attorneys, other than public defenders, it just depends on if we're talking a brand new lawyer going out on his own after law school, or Alan Dershowitz. One can make a pile of money, the other probably can't. |

Um I think you meant to word this differently because it almost does not make sense. To answer your question, the defense attorney *who is a DA* makes more money. This should be obvious being that lawyers work for DA's. |
