Why do some people have trouble getting hired or employed?

I think sometimes they just don't present themselves good enough then there's the ones that don't try hard enough and will always live with just enough and never try to reach higher or harder they give up too soon and there's the ones that think the employer owes them something before they even prove themselves or put in some hard work they expect to get top dollar for little effort and the ultimate one is they are plain out LAZY (: THATS MY THOUHGT |

Its fairly competetive out there for work, especially for the jobs everyone wants, the good paying, easy jobs. some poeple dont go for the ones nobody wnats, because they dont wnat them, buit then dont try very hard, or arnt very competetive when it comes to trying to get the good jobs. some popel im sure dont wat to work. they are lazy or just dont have the skills to. im sure everyone can get some sort of work if they rally wnat it, but it may not be the hrs they want, the time of day or night they want, have a nice uniform, not enough pay, hard work, it may be dirty and smelly, but if they really wnat to work, then they could do it.
often to get a good job, its not what you know , but WHO you know!!! |

Generally it is the way they present themselves.
When you walk into an interview, you have to admit everybody would be looking at you physically.
If you look nervous, unsure of yourself......unable to communicate well..........they look at these things.
There could be nothing wrong with their qualifications and experiences, but at times employers look for your attitude towards the job.
They want to see somebody who has the potential to be trained AS well as qualified for the job. If your personality and attitude gives you that advantage over somebody who's not confident, obviously they won't get hired and you will. |

These are my major reasons for not hiring someone:
1. Poor appearance.
2. Poor use of English in the written form and in e-mails.
3. They can't pass a drug test.
4. They can't pass a criminal background check.
5. They are job hoppers, and always seem to have an excuse of why they quit.
6. They bash their former employer
7. They ask me about pay during the initial interview....this is not appropriate, you'll find out what I pay if I offer you the job.
8. They start telling alot of stories during the interview that leads me to believe that their life is like a soap opera. |

They don't have chosen the right job for them.
To be posted on the job, make sure you are qualified so have better chances for the job you've been applying for.
For instance, how could you be hired if the job posted is a doctor, you are an engineer applying for the job, then practically you can't have it.
At least apply for a job which you have interest and related to your field of studies. |

Bad personality/antisocial, or their personality does not match the job. Most people applying for a job will have similar credentials and experience. |
