Why is it when you call a lawyer's office...?

the receptionist always answers with "Law offices" and not the attorney's name(s)?

Just curious. ^_^

Because she doesn't want to recite the litany of partners' names. In addition, there are often junior attorneys and it's confusing if they don't hear their attorney's name.

Well.... my dear...
The reason is that most lawyers form an "association" with other colleagues & due to the fact that the secretary does't want to take the "preferance" of ..."one attorney" to the "other", the simplest & fairest way to answer the phone would be: "Law offices...such-and-such" !! That makes sense, doesn't it??? Equal rights to everybody!!
Wish you all the best from Germany...with love...Annette***

The attorney's office I call, the receptionist says the same thing.
