Why you are leaving present job?

because you are currently a typist and you can no longer continue with your faulty space bar?

Seriously, it depends on how different your new job is to your current job. You might be upgrading your career, if that's the case tell your employer that. If you are downgrading, you can tell your employer it's because you feel you need to be able to devote more time to your personal life, that you are trying to improve your 'work / life balance'. If your new job is really similar to your old job, you can say you love the work but you fancy a change of scenery. If the new job is something totally different then you can tell your employer that you were happy at your old job but just want to try something completely different before you get into a rut with your existing job. He's not really got much right to ask as long as you're not breaking any employment contract.

Why not try telling the truth? Provided, of course, that it can be told! There must be some reason for your going: time for a change; better money; more convenient working hours; a different type of work, with perhaps more contact with people; an opportunity to move up the employment ladder, perhaps by retraining. If none of these applies, then why are you leaving?
