I'm 20 years old and was just charged with Minor in Possession of alcohol. I am going to school for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. How will this misdemeanor effect my future in the field? IE. Taking the board, applying for a job, etc.

Since MIP is simply a misdemeanor charge, it should not have any effect on your job searches later. However, have you considered talking to a lawyer? He can talk to the DA for you and have him settle for about 16 hours of an Alcohol class. Upon completion of the classes, it is likely that your citation will be dismissed and you can choose to expunge any traces of it from your permanent record. |
