Will anyone answer a few questions about different types of lawyers?

Everyone in my family thinks I would make one hell of a lawyer. I want to be honest: My main objective would be to make money, and lots of it, and I want to be damn good at what I do. I would want to work for a business (corporation) as their lawyer, or a law firm. I do not want to spend my life in a courtroom. So, any recommendations as to what I should do? What exactly would I do working for a business corporation as their attorney? And what exactly would I do working for a law firm? What happens at law firms? I need full explanations, because I have no clue what a law firm is/does with their lawyers that they hire. Oh, and where is the big money at? If I could mae atleast $150,000 a year I'll be happy.

Before spending that $150,000 a year, remember that you will actually have to finish high school, college and then at least three years of law school. Making money is wonderful but do you really want to become an attorney? Interesting that you said this is what your family thinks but what do you think? This is a long time to spend in school, so be sure this is something you are interested in and really want to do.

In terms of making money - there are many attorneys who never see the inside of a courtroom. There are many things an attorney can do besides litigate. Do the research to see exactly what is available. But before you plan on spending the money, find your passion. The money will find you.

Lawyers tell so much lies that their tongue sticks out even after they are dead.
But some lawyers do help people especially when money does not control their minds.
