IN 1998 I HAD A FELONY MISDEMEANOR, AND I HAVE HAD DUI'S IN THE PAST, WILL I BE RESTRICTED FROM WORKING IN A HOSPITAL OR BECOMING A NURSE?

I have a n aggrevated battery felony in 1998, and 2 DUI's over 3 years ago.
I still have a year of school and havent started the course study.

This will depend largely upon a licensing board review of your application for certification and licensee.
In a telephone conversation with someone at the GA Board of Nursing, I was candidly informed that someone with a record that includes violent crime has no chance here.
I would recommend that you contact the Board of Nursing in the state in which you reside and ask them. It is more than likely that they will tell you that the board reviews these on a case-by-case basis, but sometimes you can et more information.
