Will the employment background check determine every single job that I had?

Be honest, most background checks will go back at least 10 years. If they run a credit check the company's name will show up but not dates. Better safe than sorry.

If there is a gap in employment it will be questioned, but 2 months is not a big deal.

If it's a resume'/interview only job then no worries. If it's a job where an application is filled out then you need to put the job on there and your resume.

It's better to not get the job than to get fired for falsification or misrepresentation after 3 months of hard work.

Dont panic. If you are uncomfortable with putting this job on your resume then dont. You are not required to post any job you had on your resume if you dont want to. Most resume professionals say keep your resume specific. Highlight the positions you have had that make you qualified for the one you are applying for. Be prepared to answer the gap in employment in an inteveiw though. You can explain it honestly. You were briefly employed with a company that wasnt a good fit for you or them and you decided to pursue other opportunities. Dont offer negative information to your prospective employer especially information they arent privy to. A background check will NOT turn up positions you used to have that you dont represent on your resume. Background checks look at things like your credit score and your criminal history. And prospective employeers are required to ask your permission before contacting previous employeers or references. Any previous employer that you have can not say anything negative about you other than weather you are eligable to be rehired. If they to then they can be sued for defamation of character because they would have to prove that whatever they said was true and not designed to hurt you employment chances.

A company I once worked for once had me arrested for a crime I was later proven innocent of (they obviously fired me) and I still present them on my resume. I tell the prospective employer that the separation was not amicable and I do not wish them to contact them. The background checks that are run on me show nothing because the arrest and the charges were dropped. I have been constantly employed since this incident because of that and I have been employed in positions of high responsibility as well.

I realize having a job is important but the more relaxed and comfortable you are the better the interveiw process will go. Good Luck.

They are going to notice a two-month gap in your resume, and if any kind of background check is done, this job will come to light and you will appear as though you are hiding something. Put the job on your resume with no contact information. If there is an application to fill out, they usually let you check whether you will allow them to contact your employer. Just check no, and they are legally prohibited from doing so.

I am in the same boat as you. I have a job that was my most recent job, and I trained for two hours one day, and worked for 5 hours the other day, and after that I quit because they refused to be flexible with my college schedule. I am afraid this is what is holding me back, because I think it would be stupid to put a two day job on a resume, but if they can pull it up they will think i am a liar... I am so confused.
