Wow. Im really proud of you. When I was in 11th grade I wasn't thinking this particular about being a lawyer.
Here's the secret
Its not what you take but the grades you receive.
In 11th grade I thought I was going 2 be a doctor so I took lots of health and math courses. In the second semester of my senior year I decided I wanted to be a lawyer...TOO LATE!
Lol of course not. Because guess what? U can be a screw up in highschool AND college and still be a good lawyer. I had all failing/good grades in HS n kept an A average in undergrade school.
Secretary of state Colin Powell had a C average in college and turned out awesome
Just make sure you get into a good undergrauate school. And most importantly its not the name of the school you go to but what you take from it. If you want to be a lawyer but love the world (I noticed you have a tourism course) then excel in that area, maybe even take geography if that's what you're into. You can consider international law
The great part about a law guided career is u don't have to mold to fit the career better yet you can choose the branch of law that best defines you.
Sit back
Relax
And really contemplate what YOU want.
I have friends who never studied govt, history, or anything law related before law school. One of my friends was a freaking dance major then decided to go to law, crazy right? Not really she decided to do law that involves injuries like car crashes so her dance background made her very knowledgable about the human body, and muscles, and a lot of crap I know nothing of
On the other hand I knew a bio major that has a bio bachelors and went to law school. He went into legal patent law. the science field helped him tremendously as he discusses physics, and chemistry, and lots of technicals stuff as he's defending other peoples inventions.
Do what you LOVE
stop worrying
I know you can get into any university you want just by the determination you are presenting. If you have any law ???'s Please feel free 2 contact me if I don't know them I will find the answer for you
Stay gifted and analytical. You are presenting law like skills already
Do your thang!!! Future Lawyer |

1) High school courses do not matter nearly as much as your post-secondary education when it comes to eventually getting into law school.
2)The courses don't matter, your grades do (except for math or science programs, in which case you need high school math and science credits [but still good grades]) |

I think the best lawyers are the ones with the most diverse background possible. As a lawyer you will probably be faced with fields and terms that would otherwise be foreign top you had you not expanded your choices of study when you could, before law school that is. In high school you should take all the things you would like to, since anything is actually related to the law. The only time you will learn to be a lawyer is when you are in law school. Those people who took "pre-law" before law school end up often not being the most prepared for it. You need a mind that can think outside the box, and you need to be able to develop arguments from every angle. So your courses are great! |
