Someone can still be dismissed instantly for gross misconduct, even if they have given notice. A person is entitled to pay up to the date their employment ends - either the last day worked at the end of a notice period, or the last day worked before summary dismissal.

Only for what they worked.

If you quit, you don't get unemployment either.

Yes. No matter what the reasons are for dismissal...gross or otherwise.....an employee is still entitled to all money owed including pay without notice...holiday pay....wages etc etc

An employer must pay you for all time worked, irregardless of whether you quit or get fired. They must pay you for all hours you have worked for them.
