i have just been told not to come to work until they tell me too, as my boss has been sent to prison. whats my chances of being paid?

I agree with filing for unemployment but unfortunately, the first week doesnt count. You are out of luck for that week. Regardless, you still need to file. |

File for unemployment immediately!!!!!!!!!!!! If you dont file today, you will lose an entire week!!
If your boss is under arrest because of misappropriation of funds than I would say kiss your paycheck goodbye...Anything else and you have a 50/50 shot..

They have to pay you for the work you've already done. Your state's department of labor can will probably have some forms you need to submit a claim. As far as future work, I suggest filing for unemployment. You have effectively been laid off. |

You need to go file for unemployment. and then update your resume, your job hunting is now. Even if your employer gets out of prison, i dont suggest you stay at a company with someone of his moral character. |
