Working law under paye?

Is it legal to increase an employees hrs but not pay them for it till it suits the employer under PAYE ?

Check with Direct Gov website, if it was for a few hours occasionally then it has to be in your contract but legally no.

I think this is more a question for Acas. Under PAYE you get taxed on a receipts basis, which is when you receive the money, not the period it is paid for. It doesn't cover laws about your pay entitlements, or employers failure to pay wages on a set date.
