Workman's comp in Maine?

My boyfriend cut himself on a 6" grinder he had 7 stitches he went to the hospital. Now at work none of his Managers will talk to him and today one of them stood around watching him and one other guy and found a ground falt wasen't in but in the Miller Welder they have one built in they gave him a warning. Sound like there trying to find things to get him fired because he hurt him self. Within 6 weeks of beeing there he's had no safty issues. Is this agenst the law for them to do this in the sate of Maine?

checking for safety issues?....NO....
watching an employee who has been hurt once already?...NO....

being aware of and correcting safety issues is critical and this is especially true in the type of work he does.
the fact that he got hurt has made them more aware and they are trying to be sure he does not get hurt again as well as any one else.
he is obviously new to this employer so he should be glad they are trying to protect him and everyone else.
