Writting harassment policy on shirt, harassment itself?

Someone I know wrote the harassment policy of the company on their work shirt and wore it to work today. She was so sick of our boss bullying us and all of the co workers and customers reports of harassment and humiliation gone unnoticed, she decided to do this. Is this considered illegal or harassment in any way in itself? I dont want her to get in trouble...she's lucky our boss wasnt in today...
No one's name was on the shirt. no one was personally singaled out as a harasser. its just the policy that we found in the employee hand book.

If I were the "boss" in that situation I would consider a shirt with writing on it to be very unprofessional attire in any workplace situation, regardless of what was written. For an workplace concerned with how customers feel, don't you think that a customer would feel very uncomfortable walking in and doing business with people wearing the harassment policy on their shirts?
I'm betting things aren't getting better because everyone is simply complaining behind your boss' back. Somebody needs to confront the issue and talk it out with her in person, like adults...not this passive-aggressive BS, if they want to get any respect.
So yeah, if it were me as the boss, I would've sent her home just to put on something less tacky. And what's with wearing it when the boss isn't even there to see it?? Can we say spineless? |
