The other day I called my boss to let her know that I would be an hour late, she said that was okay.
Then she called me back and told me to try to be there at 11am, when I scheduled to clock in. I said I would do everything I could.
20 minutes later I called her to tell her that I could not make it by 11am, it was out of my control and there was no possible way, it would have to be noon.
She fired me.
Before I was even supposed to clock in.
I was late one time before that, 5 minutes late and I called her to tell her.
Is it legal to fire someone like that, if they aren't actually late yet?
