i live and work in missouri and i requested part time for a 1 week period during finals week and my boss asked me to send him an email. i did not send the email because i decided i could not afford to take the week off. i went to work and he fired me first thing and said your not needed as a part time employee. he did not understand the request or just really wanted to fire me. he never gave me an option of not going part time or asking me anything else. do i have a leg to stand on? what should i do? was this legal? thanks tom
