need legal advice about a job my boss is dodging me.?

i started at this vegetarian restaurant on the 1st of June for a part time sorta deal he would call me up during rushes and when they needed help. so i had to work the 1st 8 hours training unpaid once that was over he asked for my ss number and drivers license and said hired me.

so i worked for them for about a week and a half total after that and when pay day comes around my bank asks him to set up direct deposit but he starts dodging there phone calls. so then i call and text him asking when im going to get paid he dose not answer the phone or reply to my texts.

what can i do? who can i call? i want to get paid for the work ive done. please help me out!

where are you?
in the US training is PAID hours just like any other work hours.........
if you are in the US you file a wage claim with the department of labor in your state..........
I can't provide you with a link because I don't know where you are...

Judy
If he continues to dodge you and not pay you, call your state dept of labor if you're in the US

kelsey
Go to the restaurant and explain that since you worked for him, he owes you your paycheck. If he still refuses, find someone to report him to - a lawyer, your town or county's labor department.

Chris
?Why didn't you get a regular paycheck in the meantime? Some places of employment don't do direct deposits. Who is your supervisor? Do they show up at work in case you have a question? Maybe you should become cashier there.
