That reason you talk about is the same reason many people turn to cheating, the reason: the thrill and naughtiness brings back that feeling of excitement in the pit of the stomache.

I've never known the feeling to come back in the same extent as when it started but people do often find that it returns in a lesser form when you're looking forward or excited about a special event between the two of you (ie: marriage, moving house or big romantic holiday etc) but if you've already been there and done all that I do quite doubt that it will return but that doesn't mean you love the person any less (well not always anyway).

hmm well i think that feeling goes away once you're comfortable with that person, it happens mainly when you're nervous about talking to that other person....idk but you cant have them forever....unless if you meet someone else ;)

It comes and goes, but if you are in love then that holds you together in between times. Its never easy, well it is sometimes!, then there are times like you are going through now, the question you have to ask yourself is, Do you want to be with that person? Can you see yourself with someone else? Being in love is what happens after lust and butterflies disappear. Good luck.

There's no way to get it back as far as I know. It just gets replaced by other, different, deeper feelings. That butterflies in the stomach thing is all about excitement and the unknown and new feelings about someone you are only just starting to find out about; its kind of superficial compared to the feelings that follow after it goes away.

Well, when you start getting used to and sick of each other, there's not a lot you can do. You can't wipe your memories and start getting to know each other again, can you? You can start doing all sorts of things to cover up the fact that you're bored with each other or you can find someone else and start afresh again.

Do something out of the ordinary. For example, go on a "first" date again, or recall a really special time and re-create it. My parents have been married 29 years and my mum says she still gets butterflies now!!

To be honest that's not always true. I mean iv been with my finace for years now and that feeling is still there. It's just up to the both of you to keep the love the and passion.

But he is truly the one for me. Not only is he my partner, the person i want to spend the rest of my life with, but he is also my best friend and we have a connection between us that not many couples have.

Sometimes people say that it's beause you eventually get to comfortable with eachother, but we are very confortable with eachother in every way. I just think it's as simple as people growing together or apart.

we have times when we just get on with things (kids!) but a naked snuggle in the morning and the rest follows we feel amazing a bit of morning s*x always makes the butterflys come back (you should see my hubby glowing)and we are realy loved up

Pretend you are strangers who have only just met and start the whole courting thing again - sometimes you forget how hard you try when you're in a new relationship, and things slide - this is guaranteed to give you back the butterflies. If you live together, don't mention anything about your "dates" with each other at home, keep it totally separate, and eventually the excitement will translate itself back into your home life and your two lives can merge.

HereÂ´s how I get it back. I watch our wedding video, and remember what it felt like on that day. I know that the wedding is not whatÂ´s important, but what comes afterwards. I also like to look at old pictures-how happy we were, and then am reminded what weÂ´ve been through to get to this point-I get happy all over again.

you dont need the butterfly thing the whole time its nice yeah but while it lasts to me when ta lose the butterflies it just means your comfortable and thats never a bad thing dont knock the candles every once in a while its nice for a change it makes the other person feel special and that you still think of them as a lover not a best friend and as i said it doesnt have to be every day even if its jus once a year

no it doesnt come back,but instead you have that easy feel safe feeling....the same one as you have when you go home to your parents house,where you feel safe and loved.

yeah the butterflys are great but the feeling of security and feeling safe in your mans ams is the best.

When 2 people meet and begin a relationship they go one of two ways, they grow together or apart. Sad as it may seem our perception of the other person turns out to be something different. You need to begin again and start to date each other, days doing your thing, then have a date and look for the good things that attracted you to her/him. If after 2 months that butterfly has not come back you then have a to begin thinking of starting again with someone new. Don't get comfortable, get closer.

It's never gone away for me and we have been together 27 years! Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones? It may come back, you can't do anything to make it come back, it will just happen - or not. Heady days of early romance don't last forever although true deep down feelings do.
