I'm not here to debate the validity of the story.
Adam blames Eve for taking of the tree of knowledge; yet he was the first born and to teach her right from wrong- isn't that like the teacher blaming the student for not learning?
What has changed? Do you find that men still blame women for their own shortcommings?

God told ADAM---Genesis 2:16. Eve wasn't made until verse 22. She didn't hear God say anything about it.
God asked Adam FIRST, Adam blamed Eve first! Eve learned from Adam to blame- but she did not blame her husband...she protected him and blamed the serpent!
Adam: you are at least honest- KUDOS!

I think the more important point of the story was the God held them both accountable, blamed them both, and kicked them both out of the Garden of Eden. Besides, Eve had her turn at blame first - she blamed the serpent (Satan). In other words, she tried to use the excuse, "The devil made me do it!" |

Not true. Adam and Eve didn't know much of any thing. God told them BOTH not to eat from the tree. Eve got away from Adam and the serpent told her to eat from the tree. Not Adam's fault. It was Eve's fault. God was the teacher.
I blame women some times for men's shortcomings too. Not always. |
