I'm a part of a dance company and have been going to rehearsals and such every weekend and more when necessary. We had to perform our piece four times this weekend and twice on Saturday (2PM and 8PM.) Basically, I'm an idiot and decided to drink before our 8PM show. I drank a lot more than I expected and when I arrived to do the show our instructor told me that she could tell I was clearly drunk and didn't allow me to dance that night. I feel so bad for what I did especially to the other dancers. I really want to make it up and let them know that I have learned my lesson. I was planning on writing an e-mail to the entire company saying how sorry I am for what I did. What can I do to try to make up for what I did?

Don't write an email. Gather them together and tell them as a group.
Yes, that was a dumb thing to do but we all make mistakes. I even made one once. You will seem more sincere in person. I didn't say it would be easy. |

Don't send an email. Say it in person, face to face. If you can't do that, then you don't deserve to be a part of the company. |

Hello boot straps---time to pull yourself up. You need to ask the instructor for time to verbally apologize for your mistake to the whole group... Yes you may be embarrassed, but you brought a lot of embarrassment to the function when you showed up drunk. Letters are nice, but face to face is better. Make sure you admit what you did without giving excuses, and ask for forgiveness... Then don't ever let it happen again. So grab those boot straps and pull yourself up. |

Feel sorry for you. Well, emailing is the easy way out. I'm sure you'll have answerer's tell you that also. |

I don't know exactly what you can do but if your going to write a letter don't make it an email, make it hand written to each individual. |

I think you should write the e-mail if that's what you really want to do. Or you can ask the instructor if you can talk to the class as a whole and apologize to everyones face. Whatever you are most comfortable with.
