Marriage will be enough to test your love. Marriage is not love and love is not marriage they can exsist exclusively. But we already know that you answered your own question. If you have to ask you are not ready. |

There are no guarantees that a marriage will work. Look at how long you have been together. How often you argue, and how you argue. I mean, everyone does, but do the two of you try to work it out, or try to hurt each others feelings? Are you employed, both of you? Do you have the same beliefs on things like politics, religion (it helps!) and children. Do you both want them or not? How will they be raised? Mother stay home, or father or a sitter? How do you get along with future in-laws? Has either of you ever cheated? Lied to each other? Have you come clean and worked it out? Do yoiu have hobbies/interests in common? Do you like each others friends? Do they like you? Do either of you get jealous of the time the other spends with their friends? Is the attraction more than physical? She might not keep that figure after having several children and nursing them! He might lose all his hair by 35! You have to love the person they are, and enjoy the things they say and how you spend your time together. You can't really test your love. Marriage is work, no doubt about it. You have to be willing to give and take, compromise. Both parties have to compromise. It is never wrong to question and wait. A lot of people wish they had. |

Seriously, if you have to ask, the answer is probably NO. Think about the absolute worse (think "for better or for worse") and if you are ready to sign up for that (whatever that is for you) then jump right in. There is a whole lot of worse involved in marriage...don't do it unless you are truly committed. |
