Am I wrong for thinking this?

Earlier today, oout of the blue, I had an old friend message me while I was on AIM. We chatted for a bit, and she mentioned it would be great if her and some of my old firends got together again. I dated her previously for only a day, and another old friend once made out with me on a dare. My wife knows all of this, and As I told my old firend that it would be great ro see them again, my wife fliped out. She said she was"Amazed out how I could think that was ok" I told her I wouldnt hang out with my old friends alone, and that I would only do it if she was present, nonethe less she called me "Wrong for thinking it was ok" and said that I was"playing with Fire". Am wrong for thinking ti would be ok to see my old friends with her there? Or Should I ahve never even considered it?

You are playing with fire. You made out with an old friend, do you really think your wife should accept you going out with them again. You have to consider her feeling. You know how she feels. It would be wise for you not to go with or without her. Just find a way to tell your friends that at the present time it is impossible for you.Somethings are better not said and to not know.

The way I see life, U never have enough time 2 B with the ones U love, and 2 waste time on strangers seems crazy 2 me. If ur wife thought it would be fun to have them over 2 visit, I could see it, otherwise it makes no sense at all. Maybe U R not ready 2 B married.

I'm a woman and I think it's fine.

Once you go out with a woman by yourself, that's a different story.

Your wife may have overreacted a bit, but she's right. Once you have a romantic past with someone, no matter how short, it's best to avoid them once you're married.

you can go to school reunions but never meet up with a person you dated before, see them again & have the current spouse be ok with it. If the wife even hints it isn't cool stop. If she was cool with it that would be different.

The past is the past. Leave it alone or see them at the next school reunion with the wife.

Frankly you should have run it by your wife before agreeing to it.
No wife wants to hang out with her husbands old girl friends and watch them talk about "old times" no matter how trusting or how stable their marriage is.

She's insecure. Please. I assure you, mature people manage this all the time. Her feelings are what matter, but no, she's not right in some universal truth way (about the rightness or wrongness of this scenario.)

you was honest with your wife she should respect that, you even told her you wouldn't see them without her being there, you was not wrong your wife is wrong, she should appologize to you. good luck my friend,,,

ur wife is insecure, and obviously not mature enough to be married. get separated for a while and give her time and space to realize how she messed up. if she doesnt change her mind and stop being insecure within 6 months, then you will know what u need to do.
