Am i being underminded?

Hi, My issue is I'm a 29 y/o mother of 1 and 1 on the way and happily married. Last night our new neighbors were being loud and obnoxious. I don't mind people partying in their own house at all, but i do mind partying in the backyard until 5:30 am. I admit im a little high strung right now due to being in a high risk pregnancy. It was beautiful last night about 70 degrees. I understand people like to hang out and have fun in great weather. But my issue is the until 5:30 am thing. I'm on the second floor and my bedroom is right above the back yard. These people were in my opinion out of control. Loud music, yelling, fighting at 1 point, trying to rap (yea i kno annoying when your trying to sleep). Anyways my husband is very "whatever" about everything.. this am the guy apologized to him for the noise. and my husband said its OK since its the weekend. I feel like my opinion has been underminded. Like i said party all u want, but keep it in your house not outside like a bunch of trash. Im so stressed out.. what do you think???

like i said RANGER.. 5:30am is a little harsh. especially since its getting later and later and more frequently.

It is totally thoughtless of anyone to party in their backyard until 5.30am without regard for their neighbours! Of course they should have apologised! And of course your husband should have said "Look mate, I don't mind so much but my wife was a little upset. We're a patient lot but 5.30 is taking it a little too far don't you think?"
It is up to each of us to demand that others treat us with respect. Otherwise people tend to assume we're doormats and take advantage. Sad but true.

I think your husband should have been more sensitive to you. He should have said that "oh, I understand but my wife is pregnant and it kept her up all night". He was probably trying to avoid a confrontation but he could have still mentioned that it was a problem so that in the future they are more respectful of their neighbors. If it was me, I would have called the police and complained. They wouldn't have known which neighbor called and the police would have just asked them to shut it down.

Cities have regulations. Most cities will allow people to have parties outside till a reasonable hour then they have to take it in. Past midnight I would have called the police. In my city it's 11 pm.

I would let it go for this time. They did apologize this morning so they're not complete morons. Next time be aware of the regulations and call the authority. Never send your husband talk to a bunch of drunks!

I was with you up until your "trash" name calling. That was uncalled for. The guy apologized already, and yes your husband could have said something to him about the noise and all. You have the right to say to the guy whatever you want no matter if your husband thinks that it is all settled by what he said to the guy etc. You still can tell the noise maker what you think and maybe you should do just that. It would get it off your chest and you could rest easy.

I don't think your opinion has been underminded, but your husband
s opinion is different from yours. Go talk to your neighbor yourself and if he doesn't have respect after that, then call the police.

You are making too much of an issue about it, try chilling out a bit. If they had regular parties every weekend then yes, I would complain but if its just the one off leave it alone. It was a tad over the top but hey, if you can't beat em join em! Look on the bright side of it, if they can mwke a noise then so can you!!

It's a big world, and other people have a right to live too. It was a week end and no harm was done to anyone. It was an inconvenience, not an insurmountable obstruction in your life.

It sounds as if you ran into a situation you couldn't have personal control over and now you are angry at everyone else in the world, including those near and dear to you. Keep acting like a slave master and you will loose control of them too.
