Anyone ever been heartbroken?

I've been heartbroken many times but this last one made me loose all faith in men.I've been married for seven years known him for ten.I thought we had a lasting marriage.This is my second and it took him a while to convince me.I didn't want to make a mistake and end up divorced again.we've been having problems for a while but I thought we would work them through.He has a harley that i jokingly called his mistress because he spent so much money on it and never had money to take me anywhere.We started to fall apart,hardly did anything together,but it never occurred to me that he was getting ready to leave me I mean all marriages go through rough patches.One friday night when I got home from my 12 hour shift ,with nothing else on my mind but a hot shower and a good nights rest,he told me we needed to talk.I said ok ,thinking the dogs must have broken something .He told me he was tired of being so unhappy,never having any money,and he felt that if he stayed he was going to die.All in pretty much the same sentence.He said he needed to go in pursuit of his happiness and asked me what I thought.What do you answer to something like this?I told him I didn't want to be in the way .If his happiness wasn't with me then he better go find it.He moved out the next day,left me with a mortgage,credit card bills and utilities.I try not to think too much about it or else Im going to go crazy.I think he has someone else but havent been able to find out for sure.I live in a small town and I know sooner or later the truth comes out.I still cry myself to sleep but if you saw me on the street you wouldn't know it.I go on with life one day at a time I know I will get over it but I will not be the same.this life experience left a mark in my heart.

Yes. My heart was broken by my husband whom I loved and supported most sincerely. When I was in hospital having our second child, he took his mistress ( whom I did not even suspect existed ) to our home and made love to her in our marital bed. I have never gotten over it .never.I defy anybody else to

Everyone has their heartbroken once in their lifetime even I for one. The only sure way of getting over it is talking to loved ones about what happened, surrounding yourself with loved ones and in time your wounded heart will be healed. Acceptance.

If you are Christian, you can also pray to God for him to heal your broken heart and to give you the understanding that you need.

I was sixteen, and my boyfriend broke up with me to be with a girl at his highschool, which I didn't find out until a week later by my younger brother. I sat at home, was so depressed I missed two days of school, drank two bottles of budweiser that belonged to my parents, and downed a whole carton of neopolitan Ice Cream.

it was last year..he is my first bf..i never had a relation b4..

I have a ridiculously long story but I'll sum it up. I loved him, and maybe he liked me too which is why it seemed like he was trying to get to me. I wasn't ready for a relationship so I never told him how I felt. Eventually, all was too late because he fell in love with my younger sister instead (after trying to use my sister to get to me). So it was like a great chance I lost, in a way, which made it even harder on me.

Here are the lessons.

First things first, keep moving on. Yes, you will cry and mourn when you are first heartbroken, but keep doing the things you are doing, like working, eating, going to school, etc. Most people have a hard time putting up with the daily routines of their lives when they are extremely heartbroken so you really need to make sure that you don't let this completely crush you.

There are many different ways that people deal with these kind of things. But here are some suggestions:
1) Talk to a close friend or just someone you know you can really talk to and will comfort you.
2) Do things that you normally enjoy like watching a movie, relaxing somewhere, etc.
3) Give it some time. This is really the best way. And as time goes by, think about why it happened and what you can do to get over it. If you need to confront the other person about it, then go for it because communication really does help sometimes.

You will need to let it all go at one point and if's it impossible, well, at least go on with your life like I said before.
