no. honestly, we try. i mean, why dont u girls just tell us directly so we can go out and do whatever it is that will make you happy? instead, we're stuck here guessing what to do, and when we get it wrong, we "dont understand". right? just tell ur husband what you want and he will gladly do it im sure. |

we don't play dumb hon...we're not that smart...don't give us so much credit...we truly do NOT understand ..and much reason for that lack of understanding is that women RELY HEAVILY on hints that will NEVER work...
you have to communicate...women just assume that we know or should know every single time...it doesn't work that way
if you don't open your mouth...we are not about to be able to mind read...again...if we could read minds...you wouldn't have a problem at all...not the case..and never will be.. |

Start by slamming his fingers in the window, then hit him in the head with a baseball bat, then slam his head in the car door, when he falls to the ground tie him to the bumper with a long rope and then drag him for 5 miles. Stop the car then put the car in reverse and run him over. Stop the car and put it back in drive and run him over again. Repeat as needed. This may require a full tank of gas. |

i think that in general, men just truly don't understand...but they do sometimes play dumb to get out of doing certain things...
my hubby usually plays dumb when it comes to things like general housework or things with the kids...i think its cause he just doesn't want to do them...
but for other things, even serious things, he's just forgetful or doesn't get it....and in these cases, i find it nearly impossible to make him understand...

Men are forgetful. They just are... Men and women think differently it's a fact and a lot of times they forget things. It's not that he is meaning to be insensitive but that is the way it goes especially if they have a lot going on.
When he comes home from Korea and you are settled in your new base if he continues to forget things that are important to you just discuss it with him. But for right now I would let it go. Guys hate nagging. |

What you expect from him? Ha ha haha. Honey, take it from someone who has been married a long time. . . . lower your expectations. Men don't think like we do (most men) and since women have this amazing ability to change our minds at the drop of a hat in regards to what makes us happy, he's completely lost unless you spell it out for him.
If it's easy to make you happy, then instead of dropping hints, simply say, "Honey, I love it when you do _____". or when he's done something to make you happy, acknowledge it and he'll keep doing it. Men are simple and those kinds of things they will understand. |

men just don't think the same as woman do.
a woman will 90 % of the time tell their spouse where they are going and when they will be back. my spouse doesn't call when he is going to be late or what he is doing. most of the time i give him the benefit of doubt because it is not worth fighting over the little stuff. |
