no, thats just what you want. like myself and my sis...i have two kids and married..my sister is married but no kids and its hard for me to understand why she doesnt have kids yet....but different strokes for different folks. you're not selfish, you just want more than some ppl. |

yes you are selfish. but so what? it is a societal expectation perhaps rooted simply in the primitive idea that we need to have children in order for the species to survive. |

Thats not selfish at all. It would be selfish to get married and have kids then resent them because you never wanted them, and get a divorce. If its not right for you don't feel guilty about not doing it :). At least you are mature enough to know that. |

There are always going to be people telling you what you should do or how you should live your life etc....All you can do is live your life the way you see fit. Don't worry about what other people think or say, and when confronted about it, be blunt and honest and hold your ground. |

Life is for you to live how you choose. Don't let external pressures push you to do what you don't want, you will suffer and the children you don't really want will too.
Having had three children before I am happy not to have more and happy to have more if my wife chooses but that is me I can't force her to decide. |

I don't think it is selfish at all. The last thing a child needs is to be born into a family that doesn't want him or her. However, my experience has been that several of my friends who made this same decision regretted it in later life. That is something to think about, too. Whatever your decision, stick with it and friends and family should respect it. Good luck. |

I don't think its selfish...its YOUR life so if you don't want kids and marraige simply ignore the peanut gallery and live your own life. I commend you for knowing what you want, but keep in mind that sometimes as we get older our choices have a tendency to change. |
