No my mom lives in the maritimes dad is out west.
I don't talk to dad that much as well he's a little remote(emotionally) but mom is very much involved in my life.
They were married for over 20 yrs and had some happiness but there was a lot of anxiety.
ps,
Strangely, I had to add something. Some of the best advice that I ever recieved on marriage was from my dad. He said after everything fell apart that you should never take advantage of or fail to appreciate the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. It was pretty sad. |

My father passed away when I was seven. My mother remarried "The Slug" when I was eleven. She finally divorced him about two years ago.
I'm happy for you...you are indeed fortunate. |

My parents are still married and have been for almost 31 years. Which is very cool because when they got married people said it would never last. |

yes they are still together, when i call they both have their own telephones to their ear...and you hear them both say hello...
but if you were to listen to them talk to each other...you would think they were arguing with each other..but when I ask them whats wrong..they say what are you talking about..we are just talking to each other..go figure..years of being together does to some people..

My parents are still married after 25 years. Sometimes I think they should split up, but there are no two other people in the world that would put up with them! |

I come from an Italian family and I have 3 sisters. My parents faught all the time (mostly about us) and there have been some serious times where I thought they were going to break their marriage, but they stuck together. They still argue, but since all the kids moved out and a couple of us got married and now have kids (I don't), they are still together. They are going on their 40th anniversary in 2 weeks. So feel fortunate. :) I can say it too. Not too many couples stay together nowadays. |

No, they divorced when I was ten. But my dad is pretty religious and even though he is remarried, he says that him and my mom are still married in God's eyes. I don't know if that's true or not. |
