Boyfriend's bringing down my self-esteem and making me bulimic again..?

I love my boyfriend more than anything, but lately he's been making me feel bad about myself. Not purposely, more so due to my jealousy and insecurity issues. He has an obsession with Cheryl Cole and talks about her a lot, and yesterday he went on about how gorgeous she was and it made me feel terrible about myself to the point where I'm not on the road to bulimia. We were talking about her today, and he's like she has a nice a*s, and I just laughed it out when really it made me feel horrible about myself.

He does this unintentionally and I really do love him more than anything, but how can I get over my jealousy issues?

I'm asking this here, cause I'd prefer more mature answers.

It's not really only that. The other day he saw a commercial and he asked 'Hypothetically speaking, imagine you asked me who I would ant if I could have anyone and I said your friend from work, what would e the difference of saying that from saying someone like Cheryl Cole knowing you can't have them' this was all hypothetically speaking since I don't have a job at the moment, he just got the idea from a commercial and it made me feel very insecure.

He knows I used to suffer from bulimia, and that I have self-image problems, and I know this is my fault and my jealousy problems, how can I overcome this?

First of all, he is NOT making you feel bad about yourself. You are choosing to allow him to do that. Youre boyfriend has eyes, so he will find other women attractive. There is nothing wrong with that. However it is very insensitive of him to go on and on about a celebrity. Does he not have anything better to do than to swoon over a celebrity?

I dont know why you have such little self confidence that you would allow your boyfriend to openly disrespect you by telling you he would want other girls. Call me a hopeless romantic, but if a man loves you, he would truly only want you. He wouldnt waste time lusting over other women. You need to work on your insecurities, and then you will realize this man is not worth your time.

Why do you want ot be with a guy who doesn't make you feel good about yourself. More importantly, why are you even giving him the power to make you feel bad about yourself. You need to have more confidence in yourself. If you want to lose weight, then do it for yourself, not for him. Are you that desperate for his love that would put your health at risk for a man who doesn't respect you?

If he knows you have self-image issues he should be smart enough to keep his mouth shut about those things. Apparently he's either A) doing it on purpose or B) is a total idiot. If it bothers you that much confront him about it. Tell him you don't appreciate it. Or dump his ***. I don't see why you tolerate such behavior. I know I wouldn't.

well the fact that you are jealous of a celebrity should already tell u that your insecurities are more server than most & u need to tackle the route of the problem. either seek psychiatric help or speak to a counselor...main problem lies within u...

secondly, u can let him know that him obsessing about her is making u feel insecure & if he could just stop it or bring it down a notch, let him know its like he is comparing u to an idol figure, not a great feeling.

u may have to leave him until u have completed the course or help that u need, but decide on that, he may be very supportive or he may break down your progress

He's doing it intentionally.
No good/loving boyfriend ever goes on about how beautiful some other girl is to their girlfriend. He doesn't love you, he's just using you to fill his time.

If you're like 16 or something than the only thing that will make you less jealous is time. Only in time will you grow up enough to let issues like that go.

Here's my opinion on this one... i think if you truly love the guy and he is making you bulimic then he is saying something... you must have let yourself go through the past years. he misses the body that you once had. dont be a b*tch! Be bulimic for the man that you love!
