This is frustrating me!!
My friend who works with this women who was married for 15 years to a police officer is telling me different things. How would you interpret this? The guy that she set her co worker up with I am going to call z. And the girl that was set up with him Iam going to call g.
She told me that G was using Z that she set him up with. She said G she was divorced, and once her ex called her she dumped Z because she was in love with her ex. G and her ex are both addicted to crack cocaine. She told me that G was just using Z for money. But he lost his job and has no money coming in. Which she knows.I became friends with Z and he told me a totally different story and if G was using him she wouldn't of offered him money and get upset when he bought her gifts. I tried telling him different. But she keeps Z at arm length because she is scared of getting hurt.
My friend that set them up keeps changing her story one min shell say she thinks G is using Z, then the next she'll say she thinks she loves him. I dont know what to tell the guy anymore because he is a mess. From his point of view the girl is lost.. she cant get off drugs, doesnt deserve love and is beating herself to the point where she gets brusies all over her body. She even showed my friend the bruises.
Its getting annoying because I dont know how to help him. After Z told me the story (despite what my firend told me) I was convinced she was just lost and wanted love but since she doesnt believe she deserves it she continues to push him away.Idk what to say anymore!!
What do you think? G introuduced him to her family but told him they aren;t together. Her mom is old fashion and thinks she shouldnt date until the divorce with her ex husband is final thats why she keeps pushing him away but he has me convinced thats she has had a F'd up life and I feel bad for her. What can I do to help him becuase he can't let her down because everyone else in G's family let her down and since she is suicidal I dont want her to feel alone by telling G to stay away.

Anyone doing crack isnt thinking logically. Ive had friends die and their lives turn into shambles because of drugs or alcohol. One guy I know was talented muscian, highly educated. Now is homeless raggedy toothless bum living in the park...all due to alcohol.
All your worrying wont do one bit of good. It will only serve to bring you down with them.
One of the hardest things in life is to watch your friends lives go down the drain. Even suicide and there's nothing you can do to stop them. Its very hard but seriously, each of us make our own choices and handle things the way we want to. In the end, you have no say in the matter. Its a hard lesson to sink in. We want to help, but in reality..... they dont want help. So sad. |

Not sure why you think your role is to be the big Savior here.
If they're friends of yours and having problems with drugs or whatever, do what you can do to help them with that. But remember that at the end of the day, they have to want help.
As for the rest of it ... it's none of your business. Worry less about what they do, and more about your own life.

It is nice that you are concerned about them.
However, take a break.
Tell them to see a therapist.
THis is too much for you alone to handle.
