Can I face the world after this?, lol?

Ok so I bounce back quickly after embarrassment but this is slightly horrifying though i see the humor in it, I suppose.
My 7yo son went to a swimming play date and when I came to pick him up the mother told me there must have been static on his bathing suit because my underwear was floating in the pool.
It was clean, thank God! But still so embarrassed. She said only her and the kids saw but my son said the dad was there as well. How would you feel? I feel embarrassed and slightly nervous about facing them again(parents) but on the other hand, I think eh, so what, at least they were clean. My husband says to be happy they were a good looking pair, lmao.

lol. Thanks for making me laugh today. Something similar happened to us. We had the flu and ended up throwing some clothes on to go to the drugstore. We got there and my wife was talking to the pharmacist. I was a few steps back and I looked down at my wifes legs and there was a pair of her panties sticking to her pant leg. I manuevered over and bent down "to tie my shoe" and slipped them in my pocket. We laughed about it. We still shop there. They probably call us the pantie people or something behind our backs but hey what would life be with out humor.
So I say just laugh and go back. Its freakin hilarious. Everyone probably got a great laugh out of it. and anyone that didnt to he** with them.
Anyway thanks for the memory.

As I was reading along and read about how you usually bounce back easily from embarrassment, then said the mom assumed there must have been some static...well, I thought it was leading up to some TRULY embarrassing story...like you and your husband don't have your own pool and no one was home at their house and you guys decided to sneak over there for more than swimming one night, or something alone those lines! LOL

My cat that retrieved strings on command (I swear) instead retrieved my bra for company once, to the delight of everyone but me. That was years ago and I was mortified at the time but now it is a good and funny memory I share, So when your son gets old enough to be embarrassed by it, you can do the motherly thing and tease him a bit about it. ;) It will be a family joke, so all is good!

I think it's no big deal funny!! I think I've pulled dozens of those dryer sheets out of my shirt sleeves at work!! Funny but no big deal anymore!!

I think you're overreacting a little.. just try to laugh it off! I know it can be hard sometimes when it's so recent but you'll laugh about it soon. Seriously, it could have been MUCH worse! This really isn't that bad.

The best approach is to pretend you don't care, don't show any sign of embarrassment. Instead say something like, life goes on, I hope everybody wears underwear. It is very strange how your underwear got there you should find out the truth.
