Well I think her parents have to sign over guardianship to him making him her legal guardian. Which is stupid cause who the heck whats their husband to be their legal guardian? That's lamer than getting married at 13. And when they break up all the legal issues that will come about will be hard to deal with. She'll change her mind about him or him about her at some point and then she'll wish she never met him. 21 year olds don't make good guardians/husbands and 13 year olds don't make good wives generally as a rule of thumb. |

Sorry to say this but if a guy is over 21 and he is trying to get with a 13 year old...not only is that considered statutory rape, but the guy is a rediculous pervert. Seriously why would someone over 21 try to get with someone who (no offense) is still pretty much a child??? |

It depends on the state you're in. Some states have even a required age before parents can legally consent to marriage, and other states don't. Some states for children under 15 wanting to marry, it has to be approved by a judge therefore bypassing parents all together.

ok let me just say that first off no you cant and second of all even if you could people would take it as like he was a rapist or something, and third off you might in anther state so they can move there and get married, it just better be true love cuz you got to love each other alot to deal with what people will do. well hope i helped you out! |

NO NO NO, a 13 yr. old is still a CHILD, I mean a child! No one in their rite mind would even want or consider marrying a child of that age. IF they do, they sure need their heads examined, OR they can't find someone their own age who w/marry them. There are TONS of red flags waving all over that tho't! Something is radically wrong somewhere w/that question....Good luck on that one tho...:) |

In some countries, with parental consent yes she can. But in the US, the answer is no because each state has their own laws (usually 16 to 17 years old) on how old someone has to be to get married even with parental consent. |

You can be 16 to get married with parental consent but the age may differ by state. So to answer your questions no she can't at 13 unless she is in one of those polygamy religious groups. |

idk...if she's under-aged, and her parents consent, someone may become concerned and contact the police, who will in turn contact Child Protective Services, who will investigate the mom and find out why mom thought this was okay. Chances are, the child may be removed from whatever living arrangement she is currently in, and be placed in foster care, while the social worker works on getting the divorce taken care of.
