Can a man like this actually stay with his family forever?

I know this guy, he's almost like family to us, but has some issues, and we love him anyways cause we arent married to him!

He's 37 years old. has bad ADD and low self esteem so he tries to cover it up by acting the opposite. He has never had a relationship longer than 4 years. He's played in a country band at a dance club for 12 years and always cheated on all of his girlfriends at his gigs. The last girlfriend got pregnant within months of dating. He lived with her for 4 years, then she got pregnant with baby #2, so they got marired a month after they found out.

He's staying to do the right thing and he loves his kids. But he gets bored easily, and

and his wife is like his mother. I think he may like it that way though. She's catholic like he is, but he won't go to church, and won't stop the band, and it causes many arguments between them. But other than that he is like a pupet for her.

I wonder if will be one of those guys who tries to do the right thing, until the kids are like 13 years old or so, and then he just breaks! What do you think?

And learn from what you see as errors in how people run their lives.

And if you don't like this character, for sure don't have any babies by one.... or be like him........life of pure misery.

And extremely miserable for kids who come out of homes like this.......... it's call being disfunctional.

Since you ask what do I think, I will just say no one knows what goes on behind closed doors and where marriage is concerned it really isn't anyone else's place to "guess" what might happen to another couple. Sounds like someone is bored with their own life so they need to dip into someone else's.

I think he is getting older and wanting to have one more final fling. In this case he did not use a condom with this girl. Lots of people are ADD and do fine when they are bored. It takes a little extra harnessing but if he loves his kids and gets into what they are doing - he could prove to be a great daddy. Throw him a bone and remember there are meds for people who have too much of the ADD chemical. If he gets to crazy, consider having someone take him in to be properly evaluated. Good luck!

The best way to predict future behavior in relationships, is to look at past history.

But you never really know what a person will do, or how they might change. Who knows ~ perhaps his wife will get fed up with him and leave.

I feel sorry for the kids no matter what the outcome of the marriage. Why do you worry about two adults who should know better when two little kids are involved who are going to suffer more than either of the two adults.

He needs to be treated for his condition, then he will be able to function normally. People who are ADHD really can not act the opposite way to cover it.

yes he can. both the wife and husband has to be open with each other to discuss problems , if any, which there will be, and find out what the cause is to close the issue. and be understanding of each others feelings.
