Can anyone help me mother in law issues?

so it all happened when me and my soon to be husband were dating we were young and crazy and wanted to knock boots were ever we wanted if you know what i mean :) well i decide to sneak him in to my house when my mother caught us. i was in deep trouble. after all that my mama was very upset and hated my boyfriend and she would talk S**t about him well his mama found out and like any-mother started talking S***T to my mother. okay so 1 year past by my mother forgave us and she let him back in the house and we were all good again.. but my problem is that SHE CANT GET OVER IT(his mother). why after 2 years she cant seem to get over it. were planning our wedding she said she wont come. Tomorrow im going for my first dress fitting and i really want my mother there but if she goes then my mother in law wont go.. what should i do of-course i love my mom and ill always be by her side but im also trying to fix things with my mother in law.. what to do can anyone help me???

Well i think that your mother in law is being selfish and very childish. This is your day, your time in the spot light, and if by having her around you wont enjoy your day, than tell her, to her face now... don't have your man do it.... and tell her that if she can't get over the past than you have no problem not inviting her, cause she will just make all the other guests feel the tention. And tell her if she wants to miss her sons wedding because of this, its her loss, not yours hunny. Cause in the end that man is marrying you, and leaving his mother. So you still win. Congrats on the love and the wedding...... and good luck.

How many tmies will you be posting this question? I told you already, your mother bad mouthed him all over town and now your mother needs to apologize to his mother.

when you sneaked him in house it was both of you, if your mom said bad things and now you are getting married his mom is upset about it. you have to show her that you care for her and you will not treat her badly your action should speak louder than words apologize to her on behalf of your mother see if that helps. Talk to her honestly she may appreciate that.

Oh girl I have issues also. I've alway thought te best way is to tell em how it is. however in my situation i can't even do that. I guess if your fiance can't stand up to his mother and tell her t get over it, she will miss a very important thing. It's sad anyone had to be childish and "talk s***" but it happens. Send your mothern a card. Explain that you are in love with _________ and as she is aware, getting married. Tell your mother that our time on earth is so very fleeting and without her at your wedding, you have lost a big part in your life that will always affect you. Tell her how much you love her and ask her to turn her anger about this over to God because you need your Mother.
Then ask your fiance to send one to his mother.

The problem is your mother in-law never mended/apologized/fixed her bad talk directed toward your mother. Regardless, of your relationship moving on, your mothers hurt caused by your mother in-law remains still "up in the air", forgotten by your mother in-law.

The other problem is that YOU were the one who started this mess by going against your mothers rules by fornicating with a guy before you even signed marriage papers.

You and your boyfriend wronged both your mother and his mother by fornicating.

It is your responsibiltiy and your boyfriends to do your best about making your mother feel comfortable in front of your mother in-law. You also have an obligation to defend your mother and to stop any bady talk made against her by your mother in-law.

Talk to your boyfriend about talking to his mother regarding your mothers hurt feelings made by his mother's bad talk. And see if he can get her to show some repect and kindness toward her.

Your mother needs to apologize to his mother! You bet your sweet a*s that if anybody bad mouthed either of my sons I would flip a wig! You were just as much to blame, yet your mother felt compelled to run her mouth about him.
The right thing to do is not always the easy thing to do!

you have to not worry about keeping the mothers happy and just do what makes you and your husband happy. i would tell them both that you love them both and you want them both around and you hope that they can swallow their pride becuase they love you.
