I'm 15, and my parents were married for 17 hard years. They've been through SO much, and like they know everything about each other, like. My mammy still cries every night and I feel so helpless. The thing is, that they both still care about each other so much; my mammy shows it, but my dad acts like he hates my mammy. I really want them to get back together, its for the best like. Help? =(

As much as you would love to get them back together you have to understand that it will not happen. Just know that the divorce had NOTHING to do with you. Your parents need to work things out for themselves. Good luck to you. |

You should stay out of things. You can't bring them back together and trying to do so will only stress you out. |

I know you feel terrible right now- I went through the same thing and you just wish that they'll get back together and that they really really love one another but sometimes they are better off going their seperate ways and not being married...they still love you and its nothing to do with you what has happened between the two of them. They are adults and can make up their minds on wether they want to stay or not, but that doesnt reflect on how much they love you, its just the ways stuff happen. They will always be you mam and dad no matter what and will always love you the same. |

Stay out of it. If they back together for you, it will eventually get a lot worse for them. They know what is best for them. |

I'm sure that children could bring a family back together, but it wouldn't be fare though. You said yourself that they were married for 17 HARD years, but it should all be fairly simple. If you were in their situation they would tellyou to put your own happiness first.
They are divorced now and that means that they weren't happy together. Your mother will get over it in time, and she will meet someone who can love her the same way. As for your father, I think he wants the same- but he doesn't hate your mother. I don't think you would want your mother to be with someone who treats her like that.

no - they divorced for a reason and trust me the reason will have been something they agreed on other wise one would have not signed the divorce papers. |
