Can he say that innocently or he really wants to make be believe he wants to kill himself ?

Hello !
I broke up with my boy friend saying to him i didn't feel good in this relationship, I didn't feel respected. He's always very proud and he didn't show me anything.... just went back to his house.
But just when he came back home, in messenger, he wrote: " Is it the end of my life ?"
According to me, maybe something else happened... but I just wonder:
Even if something else happened, do you think it's possible to say something like that innocently just after we broke up ? Or it's too much ambiguous as far as the context is concerned, and he did it intentionally to make me react or understand something ? I am shoked because he's not the kind of guy to tell his feelings.

I would take this to mean he is very sad and sees no bright future ahead. Not necessarily that he is going to off himself. Perhaps you should have gotten clarification.

If he did threaten to commit suicide, he is just trying to control you and sway you to change your mind. As someone else said here, in that case you should contact one of his family members and let them handle it. He is not your problem anymore.

I would contact his family or close friends. You need to notify someone this statement should be taken seriously. One should never joke about suicide or ending their life. And others should never try to guess if it is a plea for attention of a serious comment. Allow the professionals to figure this out. If you cannot contact family/friends then dial 911.

it's a guilt trip he is playing the please pity me card. Yes do tell his family i think it's just more proof he is not who u need.

I would not take it lightly, but don't feel like you must stay with him because of his threats. maybe you can alert his family.

i think he is just meaning that he feels like his life is ending. he will be fine. i had one like that. you can't keep catering to his feelings. if you are worried contact his friends or family so they can make sure he is ok.

He's probably just upset. I wouldn't think too much about it. If you think he may hurt himself call up a friend of his and tell him to check on him.

He is only saying this to manipulate you into getting back with him. DO NOT respond to him - he needs time to be alone and get over it. Inform one of his family members about his suicide threats, but don't get involved yourself

I don't honestly know how to "read" the meaning of his message to be saying that to you. I just think he was sad & thinking or not thinking of the tho'ts of meeting anyone else in the way of a g/f & that because you broke up, he just couldn't think past that fact. Do you know of any common friends the two of you had that you could just contact to ck. on him to see how he's doing or at least what his frame of mind is in? There has to be at least someone you both were friendly with & who might just contact him, even if it's by a phone call to "feel him out" so to speak. I just think he felt like he was very sad period & that was all he could think of saying rite after your break up. To me, it doesn't sound as tho he was "threatening" anything tho. Of course you know him better & what he just might have meant by that statement. I'd definitely have someone contact him, either a call or a get together w/him just to make sure for you & to put your mind at ease anyway. Sometimes when we have break ups, we just feel like it's the end of the road so to speak, but not thinking of "making it" be the end of the road if you know what I mean. Have someone ck. on him to put your mind more at ease anyway...Best to you...:)

My suggestion is if he again writes to you that you tell him that it hurts, but as time passes, he will see that this is for the best and move on and find someone more in sync with himself.

I feel as though you should make an attempt to speak with him. From what it sounds like, it sounds like another issue. I would contact someone he is very close to and find out this information. But you did the right thing. You told him your true feelings, and he should respect it. I think that if he loved you he would respect it , and if he does not then bump it .. what do you need him for? He should tell people his feelings, i always tell atleast ONE person my feelings. Or he might me a little shaken up. Do not worry about it as much until you find out the truth.
