state farm ins told me this when i tried taking my last soon-2-b ex off my ins...that they can't legally do it unless she agrees 2 b removed and signs paperwork releasing them from liability should something happen, or until they get a copy of the divorce decree signed by the judge. |

From my experiences....NO not until divorce is final. Same with all joint accounts one can not be removed until final of divorce. Most companies will not remove a person with out proof of divorce or account paid in full and divorce papers.
Best suggestion is consult with an attorney that offer free consultations....they would know best per your state and county. |

?

Yes. You leave the insurance goes...hehe
Sorry couldnt resist..
P.S. He is probably paying for your health insurance and why should he continue to if you walk out on him.? I wouldnt.. |

I'm not positive but, I am sure that he can. He does pay for the insurance and so it is probably his choice who he wants to pay to have covered. Are you planning to leave your husband? If so, why would it matter if he kept you on the insurance plan? You cannot expect that he will want to support you if you leave him. |

If he's the policy holder yes.
So important to have an attorney restrain him from doing so. |

If you left him, that would be a bona fide change in family status, like death, divorce, or childbirth. He could drop you like a hot potato....unless you get a court order prohibiting him from doing it. |

The answer is actually No, he could drop you during the companies enrollment period, but he can only make changes outside of that if there is a status change. "Moving out" is not a status change but a divorce, birth, or spouses job change would classify as a status change. |

|
Yes he can. Unless you put in your Divorce Decree that you (and your children) must be covered by his dental/health insurance. Until then, he can drop you anytime...as long as it's his policy.
There is no state or federal law that says someone MUST cover their family with insurance, it's just a nice thing to do. |

All depends on the outcome of your divorce agreement. |
|

 |
Sure. There's no obligation for him to keep you on his insurance even if you stayed with him and things were fine. |

Most doctors offices & hospitals offer financial assistance if you get stuck with a very large medical bill in the future.
I am in the poverty guidelines, so they are very understanding giving me a reduced rate when needed. |
