Can the children call for the divorce between their parents?

my mom and dad fight each and every day ! and its getting nastier as the years are passing! they do talk about divorce but they aren't strong enough to speak out loud and bring it into action. my parents had an arranged marriage. they are good people but its just that they don seem to understand each other ,for every silly reason each one thinks the other is doing it just to bring froth a big fight and let down. there hasn't been a day for the past 19 years of my life where i haven't see them not fighting. i cant bear it anymore. is it possible according to the Indian law system that the children can call in for a divorce between their parents , my hope is that at least with the separation between them they don't have to have a bad day every day !

As much as i have read lately and tried to understand the Indian culture, i don't remember seeing anything that would allow the child (or children) to call for a divorce. Just for arguing and disliking each other is not grounds for divorce in India. Culturally, it would bring shame upon your mother if they were to divorce, while not hardly injuring the father at all. I don't believe you would like your mother to have to deal with the shame of a divorce if you understood what their peers would think and do to them over it.

Fortunately for you, you have become an adult now and will be going on with your own life very soon and not have to be around your mom and dad all the time.

Let them manage their own problems and work to stay out of it as much as possible. Try to find other places to be so that you don't have to be around to hear it all.

im sorry you have to put up with it.
you would think as parents and older they would have more respect for the children they bring into the world.
only the parents can get a divorce but i agree it would be a good idea if the children got to have a say in it.

You and your siblings should have intervention. In a fixed and cultural marriage, parents are hard headed and will not listen.

If you are old enough, then maybe you can suggest they live apart?
