I had a bad relationship a good few years ago and have never had a relationship since even though I have said I would like to be in one. Do you think this is the result of the bad relationship or that I just haven't met anyone suitable? I wasn't even sleeping with guys cause I was waiting until a relationship came along but it had been such a while that I have hooked up casually with a few guys. I am finding that the guys I am clicking with are a lot younger than me but I never approach them, they approach me.

Maybe its just as you grow up and more mature you are more selective in the relationships you consider and of course the field gets smaller as people enter into committed relationships as they get older.
There is nothing wrong with a few casual relationships - a sort of test drive and if you keep an open mind one of thse could develop. When my first marriage broke up I had a few flingsand one night stands, one of those one night stands I am now married to. |

You could just get into a relationship with anybody just to be in a relationship.
If you want the right person to be in the right relationship with just wait.
In the mean time spend some time getting to know yourself better.....and what you really want in your next relationship. |

A bad relationship can make you gun shy if you know what I mean. Realize, though, that the new guy is NOT the old guy and is probably not all that much like him. Try to relax, take things slow and natural. Each relationship is different and if you end up getting hurt again, I'm sorry, but you can't have the joy of a good relationship is you don't allow one to happen. I'm kind of old fashioned, I know, but I don't think that sleeping with a guy right away is a good idea. I hope you're protecting yourself from pregnancy and STDs every time. |

hey. i always heard when your not lookig for anyone you find someone that is perfect. well that happened to me! ijust got out of a relationship that i loved very much but at the end we got into to a lot. so i had to get out of there.. so i did!! and one day when we were going to pick up a saddle up for me at this guys house. we met once my cousin new him and i got his number and we started talking and now were together and he treats me like a million! so dont just go out there and look. let people come to you. |
