Love is a powerful thing !
yes I do believe a person can avoid love if he or she chooses to. I my self chooses not to find love right now.
No it is not possible for a person to go through life without finding nor feeling love. Some of us just look at love in different ways, but it is still there in some shape or form. Such as emotions, feeling of trust, the need for companionship. some times a person can confuse love for infatuation, and this is how one ends up getting hurt in the long hall. ( If u know what I mean ? )
Yes a person can fight it off ( Love ) But as mother nature moves we move with her, and with that love takes over in the end. We are destine to seek out a mate, so we may help our spices to survive so life my carry on. It is impregnated in us at birth. But it is up to us to say when and how we will fall in love . Sad that most people just jump in , and find out later that they have made a mistake in there choice of a partner. And at the end, thy wind up here, asking that same old question WHY.

Sure but usually someone needs to experience love first and have his heart broken before growing so callous. Once you love someone who doesn't love you back it becomes rather easy to never love again especially when you grow a bit older.

Why would anyone do that?

If you are not able to love someone or return love, yes, it is possible. Sad, but possible.

Well unless you lock yourself away and never socialise then you can't avoid attraction and you can't avoid falling in love either
It's human nature
But sure if you find yourself in that situation you can choose not to act on those feelings. It's not pleasant but it can be done
Oddly enough avoiding a particular person when you don't want them to develop feelings for you and vice versa can actually back fire

I suppose it is possible to avoid meaningful commitment, if you try hard enough. Stay in your house, don't socialize, and avoid all human contact, and you should be able to avoid falling in love. But why would you want to live like that?

It's possible to avoid it but why would you want to go through that. Even nuns have been attracted to people but never acted on the feelings. It's human nature to love and to have attractions.

If that is what you want, everything's possible.

I couldn't do it but I was willing to to take a chance after being hurt. "It is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all".
Love can hurt but can also bring you greatest joys in life.
