Child let my ex-husband on school grounds despite parenting plan. What should I do?

I have a parenting plan on file with the school. I have talked to the principal,teacher, and front office people about the situation. My ex is to only show up and pick up our child one day per week(according to the parenting plan). He is not allowed to show up and visit. Well he showed up to visit and they let him go see our child. I found out after my son told me after school. Do I have any recourse? What can I do to make sure this doesn't happen again?

Well it a rather simple question to answer. If there is a court order that states he is not to show up at the school except for specifies days, and he showed up at the school on a different day than he is in contempt of the order.

Your issue must be with your x, not the school. File a contempt complaint against your X.

You have no recourse to go after the school. They cant possibly enforce every order or wish of a parent.

I would talk to the principal. Take a copy of your parenting plan to the school, and let them know that this is the plan put in place by the court, and that you are very upset that they allowed him to see your child. Let the principal know that you have documented this, and that if it happens again, you will file a complaint against the school with the courts.

I'll bet they would rather have an upset Dad not allowed to see his child then be held in contempt of court for letting him see your child.

If there is good reason he should only see you son one day a week...then go back to the school and let them know again..if my ex showed up to see our son more often I would happy for my child who thinks the world of his dad.

Show them the court order and tell them you will sue them if they break the rules, that should scare them.

Let your school know that your husband is a danger to your child and other children.

If your ex is legally allowed to see the child, you can't really expect the school to oversee limiting access. They can't interpret the court order. They can refuse access, but limiting it would be hard. All they can do is permit access or call the cops. What do you really expect of them? They can't physically intervene.

I am not sure why a mother is bugged by her son seeing his dad?
