Concerned about verbal abuse from my ex to our 7 year old daughter?

My question is how do I know when enough is enough. My ex was verbally abusive and emotionaly abusive with me and my daughter when we were married. He has visitation and I know he his still abusive to her but I don't know how to prove the abuse to full extent to take him back to court. For example she was and has been scared of him time after time she didn't want to go with him and he threatened to call the police on her mommy if she did'nt come with him, she was screaming and crying telling him no I'll come with you don't call the police on my mommy. He threatened her into coming with him, and I felt helpless because if he did call the police they would look at the court order and tell us she would have to go with him even if I told them she was sccared of him. I have documented everything and every time he is abusive. I don't have thousands of dollars for a lawyer and I don't know what to do.

Call the Child Protective Services Hotline and report the verbal abuse. 1-888-SOS-CHILD is the number. Social workers will look into your case and it won't cost you anything. However, I will warn you, make sure you have all your ducks in a row and that nothing in any way even remotely harmful or abusive to your child is going on in your household. Just judging from your description, I'm betting your ex will make up stories about you to tell the caseworkers and they will probably do a household check on you, too. Make sure to cover all your bases. But please make the call. These visitations are emotionally harming your child and they need to stop. I wish you the best of luck.

Unfortunately you need visual proof before you can do anything legal, the camera idea was the best option.
