was with my partner for nearly 3 year, we completely loved each other (or so i thought?), even had to go long-distance for a year near the beginning and just saw each other for a week during that, all was amazing etc. He broke up with me saying that because we're both at uni (he's struggling, i'm finding it easy) and he doesn't have much time for me whereas i do, he thinks we'll end up hating each other and would rather end now on great terms and memories and stay friends than go on and hate each other :'( This was a month ago, we met a couple of days ago (meal and a show) and had the most amazing time together, flirting, he even took and held hands. I sent him an email saying that i wasn't unhappy and i love you. No reply (he's seen). I'm completely heart broken and want to be together :( any advise?? Days before he was saying how much he loved me and even mentioned moving in with him. I guess i want to hear if we're doing the right thing or if there's a chance of a future together because i feel so terrible. I know (well so he said) he won't and can't be with anyone else while he's at university... we're 20.

I think your love is beautiful. Right now, he seems to feel he can't keep up a relationship and study. Now assuming there is no side dish he wants; let go and see what happens. He may always be that wonderful memory you dream about and wonder what might have been. It's ok to wonder. some times that's better than knowing. |

Right now you both are too young to decide any future, why not give your respective careers a good chance before plunging into anything deep, and spoiling a great future careerwise.Let him go , if he really cares for you he'll be back. |

You can love someone and let them go, if you love them so as you say, you'd accept the fact that they dont wanna be with you anymore, even if you love him so much, and its gonna be hard to get over him, but you can do it, as you think by the days its gets harder.. it will only get easier, your only young, hope everything works out ! |

You can but not without a fight. You should try to see if you can work it out that you see each other less so he has time to study. If you can help him with his studies that will allow him more time to spend with you. I think he really wants to succeed in school and be with you but don't want to compromise his grades. Try to do anything you can to encourage him and be available for him whenever you can. |
