I live with my boyfriend for over a year now and his 24 and im 19 will his friends invite him to places that are 21 and over because they are 21 and over as well i get mad when he goes because i stay alone at the house but he wont let me hang out with my friends and i told him you get to go out so i should 2 but we always end up arguing for the same reason wat do you guyz think?

I think it would be right and fair that you hang out with your friends as well. If you boyfriend deliberately goes to places that he knows you cant go, then he has no business bossing / controlling you to stay home alone. Dont take any of that controlling crap from him, or before you know it you'll be a stay-home mum of 5 kids whilst he's out running around the town without you. |

why are you staying home and he gets to go out, no need to fight just be happy that he goes out that way when he goes out you go out, you should be hangin out with your girlfriends and having fun. he does just think whatever is good for him is good for you. remember it works both ways. |

then he's afraid your guy friends and you have something going on behind his back...Which I hope it's not the case.
either way, I think it's somewhat unfair to ask you to be home and wait for him while he was out having fun. 21 or not. I think he should have taken you with him....

He's NOT being one bit fair w/you. NOT at all. What makes him better than you that he can do just what he wants, but you can't?! Sorry, but there is NO way I'd put up w/that bunch of bull he's pulling on you. He's actually treating you like a child. Are you sure you're even w/the person you honestly belong with? There is no way I would take someone to "dictate" what I am & am not suppose to do. I just have an idea from his attitude that you're going to continue to have problems w/him, as I feel he has the feeling he is "superior" to you because of your age. I really think in the long run you'd be much better off w/someone closer to your age than he is. Especially by the way he's treating you. That is in NO way fair of him to leave you sitting at home alone, especially if you at least could be w/some of your friends if you wanted to be. About now I'd be starting to have second tho'ts about him & his WHOLE attitude twds. you. I feel like he's on some kind of a power trip w/you, & all due to the differences in your age. You really do need to be w/people closer to your own age, he needs to be w/someone closer to his. I truly don't foresee this working out in the long run tho as you're going to become very resentful twds. him & ritefully so. Think about it & see if maybe you just did make a mistake in being w/him. I would NOT stand for this, he has NO rite to do this to you or to dictate what you can or cannot do..I wish you the best...:) |
