No you do not need a DNA test. The children you have will not always have you or your spouses eye color. There is a very long confusing explanation to this fact and there is not enough room to type it all.
I have provided a website that will be very helpful to you. I have also provided an "Eye Color Calculator" you will be able to put in your eye color and your spouse and it will show you what eye colors your children may have.
1. http://www.seps.org/cvoracle/faq/eyecolor.html
2. http://museum.thetech.org/ugenetics/eyeCalc/eyecalculator.html (this takes a minute to load just be patient) |

Yes she did cheat on you. Your peter is to small and you like to smack her around. Why would you hurt your woman? It is not her fault that your johnson is small. If she had a kid with you, it must not matter to her that your crank is short. So stop smacking the girl around or she will trade you in for something a little larger. |

That is a horrible question. Obviously you did not read your what to expect when your expecting or any other baby books. It is absolutely normal for your baby's eyes to chance colors. Its possible up to 6 years of age. Just so you know in genetics brown eyes dominate over green/hazel. and occasionally blue too. |

The fact that you are asking this question is sad.
There goes the "trust" thing out of the window. |

genitics work like this...
Blue and green eyes can make brown. Are there any brown eyes in your family? Her family?
My son has O+ blood and both my husband and I have A+ blood, Both my husband and I have blue eyes and our son has green eyes...but he is our son...
there is a one and four chance to have brown eyes. The only thin this WONT happen is if both parents have blue eyes and both sets of grandparents have blue eyes for three generations back.
Blue eyes are the dominate trait... so blue eyes will usually win out, but if there is a ressive gene (like green or brown) then there is a possiblity of brown eyes. And it is possible for eyes to change til the baby is older, my son had blue eyes til he was six when they started to turn green... now they are green most of the time. So the brown might be waiting to turn hazel. |

I suggest you do some research on genetics. It is possible. Not only should you consider the eye color of all of the baby's grandparents but their parents two. Your wife and yourself each carry a set of two genes from each of your parents who themselves carry two sets of genes from theirs. Either of which are passed down to you and your wife. Then one of your sets and one of your wife's sets is passed to the child.
Eye color is controlled by at least 3 genes that we know of. 1)Brown/Green, 2)Brown/Blue, and 3)Green/Blue. If the first two of these are brown then regardless what the last one is the child will have brown eyes. Science has of yet been unable to explain the whole truth of how genetics create a specific eye color but with brown being dominant it is very likely that you could have a brown-eyed child.
I would suggest you do your own research for a more specific answer but I hope this gives you a little peace of mind. |

yes you and your wife could have a brown eyed child. you should have started by asking your doctor. but you know what, get the test, it sounds like you need to, that you're looking for an out. if you can't be a good and loving father to this child, then he doesn't need you either |

Maybe you should take a course on Biology, more specifically genetics. Yes, it is possible--isn't there someone in your family or hers who has brown eyes? |

Did the best man at your wedding have brown eyes? I'd get the test dude! |

How sad that your wife has blessed you with a beautiful child and all you can do is be full of doubt. You have something more going on to cause you to deny a child from being your own just because of eye color.........fear of being in a committed relationship, fear of being a parent, something. |

It could be a throwback to grandparents eye colour. My father had blue eyes and my mother had dark brown eyes yet mine are a green-grey. Brown is supposed to be the dominant colour. |

It is common that babies are born with blue eyes and then turn to their permanent color in a few weeks or months. If there is any ancestry on either side ( yours or youe wife's) that has brown eyes, which there probably is, you have nothing to worry about. Recessive genes can manifest themselves after generations and against odds. It happens frequently. Just love the special child you have. |

It's possible for a kid to have eyes different than those of the parents, yes, but if you're afraid she might have cheated on you, there is probably a trust problem in your relationship. You should talk to her about it. |

Generally babies are born with blue eyes. After awhile they change to the color it is going to be by the age of six months.
It is genetically possible. In my family two of my siblings have blue, my brother and I have green, and my younger sister has brown. She is like the second person in the family to have brown. Brown is a dominate trait. One of you had the trait for it. I do not look a thing like my mom but that doesn't make me any less her biological daughter.
Are the color of the eyes the only reason you think your wife cheated on you? |

There would have to be a whole lot of other things to make you think she was cheating. Nearly all babies are born with bluish eyes which change to their natural color later. Brown is a dominant eye color and if there are any other people in either of your families that have brown eyes, you probably carry the gene for the brown eyes. Now, if both of you have relatives with brown eyes, the chances of the baby having brown eyes are much greater. Give your poor wife a break!!! |

I have green eyes and so does my husband, our daughter has brown eyes, and I promise he's the father, he's the only person I'd been with. It happens, these traits skip generations. |

It could be a recessive gene on one of your families sides. If anyone in yours or her family has brown eyes then it's possible. But all you need is a sample of the kids hair if you want a DNA test... |

Since brown eyes are dominant, all it takes is for one you to have a relative in the line that had brown eyes - a sibling, parent, grandparent, etc. |

well actually did you go to health it's possible that the baby will have just the natural brown from the mother |
|

Green and Hazel are actually Brown genetically they just have a different level of pigmentation. Also if either of you has a parent that has brown eyes there would be at least a 25% chance of your child having brown eyes. Also nearly all babies have blue eyes when they are born. |

if any one in either side of the family have brown eyes its possible dont be a fool |

Both of my parents had brown eyes.
All my siblings had brown eyes.
I have blue-green eyes.
My father's mother had blue eyes.
The DNA test runs 400-600 dollars if you need to know-
-BUT is it going to change your love for this child?
Or would you rather put the money in a 4.5% money market and save it up for his or her trade school or college education, instead?
Think of the biiiiiig picture, please. |

one parent definitely has to have brown or partially brown eyes,I learned this from my own life experiance dna testing. |

It's all about genetics. If there is someone on either side of the family who has brown eyes then there's a chance that someone else will too. Brown eyes are a dominant trait. But overall, it sounds like you have some trust issues. |
|

slower_than_dail_up

There is a possibilty that the child got it from other people in the family don't jump into her cheating she probably didn't!!! |
|

Ayumi
 |
the child could have brown eyes even if the parents don't. this is due to dna sequencing when the order is messed up.either a letter [a or t or c or g] got removed or added that would cause a different genetic information for eye color. it is still possible for children to have traits that aren't from parents. |
