If you messed up your marriage vows do you have to start over because if so I messed mine up really bad, I honestly truly thought he judge say awfully married not lawfully. So since I didn't say lawfully married doesn't that void my marriage?

LOL oh wow glad im not alone. I have that on tape actually . i did the same exact thing when it was time to do vows I too said my AWFULLY wedded husband. In my case it was the truth. My tongue new it before my head did. and yes you have to repeat it the right way. |

We never even said "lawfully". At our first ceremony (not a wedding), we wrote our own vows, and at the second one (the wedding), it was nothing like the vows they use in the movies. The words don't matter. You don't even have to have a ceremony if you don't want to. You just need signatures on a piece of paper, notarized by someone who can officiate weddings. If that's done, you're married. Sorry. |
