It appears "Cheating" is the one thing people here at M&D are not willing to forgive their for. I was just curious did you make it clear to your then fiance that if "cheating" happened, the marriage is over. I know it was reiterated in the vows but did you say "I will your as if you ever cheat on me for whatever reason? Just curious.

yes...but it turns out that wasn't enough to be a deal breaker. time and commitment change people's minds. u mature and come to realize people are human and make mistakes...u aren't as quick when actually faced with it to throw an entire marriage out over it...you figure out why it happened, (it does take 2) and work on it if possible |

Yes, I told him that there is a lot I will put up with, but cheating is not one of them. Cheat and it's over! Period! I guess at the time he didn't believe me. He does now that we are divorced. |

I did. I told him If I ever found out that he cheated on me that I would dump a can of bright pink paint inside and out of his new mustang. Then would pack up all mine and our daughter's stuff and would be gone. We can work though any other situation except cheating, I won't tolerate that one. |

I married him because we share the same morals and values. Of course we discussed cheating before we got married, he feels the same way I do about it.
As far as we are concerned, there are ALWAYS alternatives to cheating, so there is no excuse to do it. Neither of us would be willing to forgive cheating. |

Yes I did say that....cheating, abuse, and not working.
But I need to say taht no one thinkstheir partner will cheat cuz it happens to "someone else". They say they will leave. But when it happens sometimes things look different....your love just doesnt turn off that easily. There are memories and investments and its much more complicated tahn one thins. Especially if there are kids. |
