Divorce, marriage? Ugh, too much!?

My mom and dad have been separated for one year now. And, the divorce is finally going through, and everything is finally cooling down. But, now my mom is seeing this other guy and they are going out! It is so terrible. It seems like if she actually cared about how I felt, that she'd wait longer. It's been so difficult going through this divorce, and knowing that my parents hate each other! My dad had to be taken out of the house by the police! This is just too much for me! Plz give me some advice! T___T

Ok, well I just want to say that I am happy that my mom has found someone, but it seems like things are going really fast.

In all honesty, be happy for your mom.. You have no idea what she is going through or what she went through with you dad.. I'm sorry they are divorcing, but you should be supportive of her and her decision to be happy.

I think you need to get over yourself and think about your mom's happiness. She had to go through the divorce, too, as well as having the police take her husband out of the house.

Your parents aren't getting back together, so you're going to have to grow up now, and deal with it. It's sad, but that's what you're going to have to do. She is just looking for a friend right now, and a little ray of sunshine after a year of thunderstorms. Try being happy for her.

You need to realize that this divorce was not your fault, and that your parents might need to date other people for a while to be able to "find" themselves again. You need to let them be adults, and try to support them..... if you respect your mother's choices, then maybe you will be able to reason with her a little bit on who she dates.

You need to tell your mom how you are feeling. I can't even imagine all the emotions you are going through right now. I wish I could do something more than answer a question on Y!A =( But, like I said, tell your mom you'd like to have a serious talk with her. I know everything is so hard right now, but over time things will start to get better. Good luck, I'll be praying. =)

Been there ........ok......You can't really say when mom or dad might meet someone new. If the new guy treats her well then good for her. Be happy for her.

Bottom line - consider your parents, the feelings of your mom. Their relationship is over and she's moving on. It's never easy, but it's a fact of life. Hopefully your parents will be able to talk when this is all over and still have a friends relationship. Maybe they never will. You still love them both and will have to deal with this.

talk to your guidance counsellor at school. you feeling better will take a longer chat with someone more than yahoo. maybe it's just all too much for you because they hid their fighting from you so you didn't see the deterioration of the relationship. than whammo not enough time to adjust. but don't be selfish in your mom's rebound relationship

i had the same problem with my parents and i haven't forgiven my mom and i'm 30 now so good luck and just sit back you'll be grown soon and it won't matter so much to you then
