I have been dating this guy for 4 months now, only 1 month exclusively. I have never been to his home, he has 2 teens I have not met but am meeting in 2 weeks. Things seem to be great BUT it bothers me he has not had me to his home? I did notice 3-4 times in the past couple weeks he said he spent the day working on his house? Could it be a wreck or does he not want me there until I meet the kids? I would wonder if he was married but he talks to me in front of the kids and they do know about me. He came to my home the 1st time about a month ago.

A lot of single parents make it a general rule of thumb to not bring a new romantic interest around their children until they're sure that it's going to last. No need to drag kids through one failed relationship after another until they find Mr or Mrs Right. My mom waited 5 months to bring her new boyfriend around my brothers and I, and we're all in our late 20s to early 30s.
Sounds to me like he's just being careful, and looking out for his children's best interests. Don't worry, it'll straighten out soon enough. |

Well if it's only been one month exclusively that isn't very long. He is smart to wait. It's probably better not to bring a new woman(...you...) into a home with teenagers. I think he just wants to be sure you are guys serious enough to introduce to the kids. |
