I think most daughters do. I noticed way to many similarities between my husband and my dad after we got married. Like they both are very particular with their cars, neither one likes crowds of people, they both don't like chicken unless it is fried, they both love to go camping and be outside...well I could go on and on, but you get the point. It is sort of scary to think about though...since when I was younger I was always trying to do the opposite of my parents. But I love them both and could not ask for a better husband or father. |

Ha YES we marry our fathers. Kinda creepy but it happens. And men marry their mothers. My father was military, very strict, and very much a perfectionist. He was also very very honest about EVERYTHING, and he didnt care who he hurt by his honest. Long story short, my father and I had a HORRIBLE relationship, and we were not on speaking term for almost 10 years. I always swore up and down I would never marry anyone that was anything like my father. So for years I would date these guys that were the complete opposite of my father and they were horrible relationships. Then, I met this guy, a Marine no less, and almost to the T like my father, but has a lot more love and shows it way better. We are married now and I absolutely love this man to death. We are perfect for eachother. I laugh about it all of the time. Life is so weird sometimes. |

my mother claims that i will one day marry a man just like my father. I dated a guy like that for a while, it was weird. Now i have a boyfriend who has a lot in common with my dad but i will never ever ever tell my mother that. she cant be right. |

Not in my case! I love my dad dearly but he has a lot of characteristics that I wouldn't tolerate in a spouse. My husband is polar opposite from my dad but they get along great so it all worked out. |
